General: Medium-sized Cyathostominea. Posterior edge
of MC situated anterior to edge of BC. Tip of submedian papillae bullet-shaped,
2 times as long as thick. ELC and ILC nearlyequal in number of elements (26-30)
and in length, but ILC slightly longer. Tips of elements of ILC pointed. Support
for ELC continuous with BC, elongate, curving, thin at one end. Buccal cavity
wider anteriorly. Anterior deirids and excretory pore near middle of glandular
esophagus, 430-487 from anterior end.
Male: Body length 9.1-11.8 mm. Esophagus length 0.550-0.730.
BC width 0.069-0.100, depth 0.024-0.029. Spicules length from 1.75-1.84 to 2.1
mm. Gubernaculum length 0.280-0.307. Dorsal ray length (from distal tip to origin
of externodorsal ray) 0.480-0.615. Ventral rays length equal to laterals. Dermal
collar poorly developed on ventral side of genital cone. Appendages of genital
cone paired, large, fingershaped protrusions expanded proximally. Protrusions
of dermal collar absent.
Female: Body length 11.8-14.5 mm, length of esophagus
0.680-0.770, width of BC 0.074- 0.102, depth 0.020-0.030, vagina length 0.750-0.800.
distance from vulva to tail tip 0.210-0.325, from anus to tail tip 0.060-0.140.
eggs size 0.112-0.120x0.056-0.058.
Hosts: Equus caballus, E. asinus, E. caballus X E.
asinus, E. przewalskii, E. hemionus.
Locality: cecum, colon.
